个人简介
A talented actress, dancer and singer with a long history on Broadway and in Hollywood, McLerie retired in 1993.
Born in Canada and reared in Brooklyn, where she attended Fort Hamilton High School. She was married to actor George Gaynes for over 60 years, until his death in 2016. They had two children. She died at her home in North Bend, Washington, aged 91, in 2018.

- On Broadway in the late 40s, she performed in "On the Town" and "Bonanza Bound" written and composed by then-husband 阿多夫·格林. She divorced Green in May of 1953 and married actor George Gaynes in December of that year. They were together over 60 years.
- Best known character film role was in They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969) in which she plays 莱德·巴顿斯' marathon dance partner who goes "squirrelly" and freaks out thinking there are bugs all over her.
